This residence in Bend’s River Rim neighborhood had an unfinished backyard, with only a cement slab patio as seen in the before photo. Landmark Landscaping designed and installed a backyard perfect for year-round relaxation and dining.
The concrete slab was replaced with a larger and more attractive paver patio with an overhead pergola for protection from the sun’s harsher rays. We constructed a masonry table with a gas-powered fire ring in the center, as well as a masonry gas BBQ with an attached seating bench. Both of these were constructed using concrete block with a flagstone top.
The patio is surrounded by a new lawn area, with planting beds added near the house and on the perimeter of the lawn. Boulders were placed throughout the planting areas in a natural fashion and trees planted for privacy.
A natural-looking water feature brings the soothing presence and sound of a bubbling stream to the backyard.
Finally, landscape lighting on the pergola columns, BBQ, as well as uplights strategically placed thoughout the planting areas make this backyard functional and attractive in the evening as well as year-round.
